When I'm working on my computer with many windows or files open, sometimes I move the mouse and the pointer just disappeared. I can't find it anywhere. Frequently it happens because it get camouflaged with my background or my eyes just play tricks on me. I assume that this has happened before to you.  I recently came across a simple practical way to help out of this situation.  The tip allows you to change an option in your mouse settings so every time you press the Ctrl key on your keyboard, your mouse pointer will be highlighted with circles so you can easily find it. Instructions can be found below.

Instructions

1. Go to "Start Menu" or press "Window" key.
2. Find "Control Panel" and open it; "All Control Panel Items" window will pop up. Click on "Mouse"  from the item list.
3. When the "Mouse Properties" window shows up,  go to "Pointer Options" tab and Check the option "Show location of pointer when I press the CTRL key".
4. Click "Apply" and "Ok". Now when you press the "Ctrl" key of your keyboard, a large animated circle will highlight the mouse pointer on your desktop.
