How much time a day you spend searching for information? According to a McKinsey report, the average person in the U.S. spends 1.8 hours a day searching for information. Or about 9.3 hours a week.

So to try to cut down on that a little, just tap windows and go.
  • First hit the windows button next to your computer (Typically left of the alt key),
  • Type what you are searching for
  • Use the up and down arrows to select the result
  • Then press enter

It's that easy. This works for searching for programs, the internet, or files on your computer. Some examples to try out include:
  • Win + "Word" - Open Microsoft Word
  • Win  + "Bluebeam" - Opens bluebeam revu (Program)
  • Win + "Weather" - Searches the web for the weather
  • Win + filename - Searches for any filename you type (File)
  • Win + keyword - Searches inside office files
  • Win + "95/32" - Preforms basic calculations and conversations
  • Win + Just about anything - try it out. Let me know what else you can search for by using the windows button.

As always please email if you have any questions.

Happy Typing,
Ralph Kreider
